Xara Xtreme 5 is famous for its speed and unrivaled ease of use, making it not just a highly productive tool, but a pleasure to be creative.

Using  Xara Xtreme’s Bevel Tool you can easily transform a simple and dull image into a Professional 3D-like image.

Now fasten you seat-belt and get ready to roll!

beveltypeFirst you must create an object, whether free-hand, shape or text, you decide. Once you have created your object (text, shape, freehand etc) click on the Bevel Tool from the Tools menu.

You can now modify your object any way you desire with the use of the Bevel menu located on top. Click on the drop-down arrow to see all the options of Types of Bevel.

For example, you can increase the depth of the bevel and light angle by dragging the arrows:

You can also control the bevel depth, light angle, contrast, or light elevation and see the change preview on-screen as you move the slider and change the percentage value.

On the Bevel Menu, you may also choose your image’s bevel to appear in or outside the object and even change the color of the bevel by just selecting on the bevel and then choose your desired color from the color palette.

That’s not all  you can change the corner shapes of the bevel – mitered, round or beveled.
